An ePortfolio is an essential tool that shows a potential employer the candidate’s skill, knowledge, and learning outcomes. After completing this course, I would like to apply for an internship at the administration department of one of the local companies. A comprehensive ePortfolio that includes writing samples, certificates, a list of extracurricular activities, internships, awards, and references will show that I am a decent candidate for this position. Besides, I am thinking of completing a master’s degree program in Business Administration in the future. This way, the portfolio will prove that I am qualified, skilled, and motivated enough and deserve to be enrolled as a master’s degree student. Overall, the skill of creating an ePortfolio that was gained during this course will be beneficial even after graduation because it is a way to present yourself to the professional society.

The final ePortfoilio that I will create by the end of this course will also significantly enhance my personal branding. As Rangarajan, Gelb, and Vandaveer (2017) put it, personal branding results from “personality qualities, past experience and development, and communication with others” (p. 657). From this, it could be inferred that a perfect ePortfolio should reflect these four aspects. Since the critical purpose of a portfolio is to show who I am and highlight my strong sides, it should include a list of personal qualities and skills, copies of certificates, diplomas, and awards. In addition to that, the ability to establish effective communication with others could be proven via reference letters from the university’s professors and former employers. At the same time, it should be noted that it is impossible to create a conclusive portfolio without working hard and making efforts to personal career development. Therefore, the final ePortfoilio can justify this hard work and prove the desire to achieve success in the endeavors.
