In this task, records of 25 customers were entered into the database. Seven of these customers were from Massachusetts, six from Pennsylvania, four from New Jersey, and eight from Maryland. These customers were served by four sales representatives. The management considered it appropriate to assign each representative to clients in specific states (Palmer 68). It was necessary to avoid cases where one sales representative handled clients from different states. The tables identify names, state, city, street, zip code, phone number, credit limit, and current balance (Westman 75).
In the tables provided, sales representatives’ identification numbers are clearly indicated to enhance their identity in the system without necessarily using their names (Meyer 52). The data provided in the database can be used to list the customers in either ascending or descending order based on their credit limit or current balance. It is important to note that the database created can be updated at any time (Davis and Phillips 88). When the information about a client changes the sales representative can update the information as may be appropriate (Kajan 45). The top managers will detect these changes as soon as they occur. The management can easily rely on the information in this database to make decisions if this may be appropriate (Siau and Erickson 115).
