Tecsys Incorporated is a B2C Canadian company that develops and sells supply chain management software in local and international markets. Valued at over $764 million, the company provides solutions in retail-order management, business analytics, warehouse, and financial management, among others. The company has realized that its sales have stagnated in the past six months, even with the increment of the sales and marketing team. This presentation will give and demonstrate three strategies geared towards the improvement of the company’s sales.

With the new sales and marketing team, it is essential to equip them with selling skills and product knowledge. This will help them understand how the product functions, the unique selling points that need to be stated in a sales pitch, and the identification of potential buyers. Additionally, the training will reduce time wastage, thus increasing productivity through the continuous closing of sales (Hakim et al., 2021). With existing competitors in the market, training helps sales executives to counter objections effectively.

The company can also improve sales by enlisting affiliate marketing professionals. This strategy is cheaper and exposes the product to a specific target market, thus increasing the chances of getting potential buyers from closed communities. Furthermore, it is easier for the company to track and monitor sales from the affiliate marketer since payment is made at the closing of each sale. This strategy helps the company increase traffic on its landing page, which improves the listing of its website on search engines.

Video marketing is another strategy that helps sell the product to customers on the internet. It is also an easier way to demonstrate how the software works. Uploaded video links can easily be shared with potential customers via email lists, webpages, or pitched by an affiliate marketer. This strategy is quite cheap and easily accessible by customers when posted on online media like YouTube. It also ensures informed purchase, thus increasing customer loyalty.

The three strategies indicate that the empowerment of the sales and marketing team with product knowledge and selling skills is vital in improving sales. Additionally, the company should focus on using the internet effectively to target and convince customers. Specific targeting of communities using affiliate marketers is an easier way of getting more customers to purchase the product. All these methods are relatively cheaper, with high returns on investment.
