Consistently treat people with respect and dignity

Several factors determine the level of effectiveness when it comes to dealing with people. The nature of leadership applicable represents important aspects that should be given priority in the process of analyzing organization performances. Strategic leadership has got a great influence on the overall effectiveness of dealing with peoples’ emotions within the working environment. This is because decisions made by leaders influence the level of strategic and change management based on individual performances (Osborne, 2010, pp 353-383).

The ability to treat people with respect and dignity presents one of the main characteristics of a leader. This ensures the creation of mutual relationships within the working environment. Leadership means the ability to influence and extend necessary support to others making them work towards achieving specific goals. According to the author whoever is appointed a leader should possess various qualities which include being dynamic, tactful, motivator, orator, futurist, good analyzer, social, supportive and should have job-related knowledge. A leader should be the kind of person capable and ready for taking any risk amidst controversial issues (Osborne, 2010, pp 353-383).

Asks people what they need to do their work better

The nature of communication amongst people determines several outcomes. Leaders must possess the ability to put juniors on toes to achieve important goals. Good communication forms part of leadership since messages and objectives need to be articulated through clear and well-understood means. According to the author, the level of interaction forms part of socialization where leaders are required to mingle with their subordinates and even offer them support within different areas of need (Zaccaro, 1991).

Ensures that people receive the training they need to succeed

Leadership enables successful execution of the organization’s goals since it provides the required technical know-how through training, hence making it easier for operations to be carried out without any form of confusion. Research reveals that new leadership under constant external influences has the capability of performing better since it determines the kind of human relations together with the level of utilization of available resources. The nature of leadership present within an organization determines the level of efficiency and reliability of the processes. This determines the overall financial control including the nature of costs used in the production process as well as pricing of products concerning competitors. Leadership also determines the nature of responses towards innovation and adaptation of the organization to the environment (Osborne, 2010, pp 353-383).

Provides effective coaching

According to the author, there is a need for leaders to engage in open conversations with their juniors and at the same time record every crucial matter which arises from the various conversations. They should also be involved in teaching and guiding their various team members through various processes and showing them various ways of solving specific problems (Dubrin, 2010).

Emphasis should be placed on the importance of teamwork and given proper attention through the provision of appropriate advice on ways of improving the overall performance of individuals. There should be clear guidelines to ensure that all the programs used are appropriate and up to the tasks. Leadership roles should be reinforced through delegation of some duties to individuals; this ensures that all employees and members are actively involved in the proper running and maintenance of leadership. According to the author, for training to be effective all the trainees should be engaging in open conversations.

Provision of developmental feedback promptly

Executive leadership provides a potential influence on the nature of strategies used in influencing people and the nature of feedback expected. Groups working as a team under influential leadership have got the potential of making workable decisions within the required time. This is since the team comprises of different people with diverse knowledge and skills.

This makes executive leadership an appropriate substitution for individual leadership since they provide the necessary compensation whenever required. Also, decisions made by the executive team tend to represent the diverse interests of organization members. Also, the level of understanding and commitment towards the implementation of various strategies seem timely through groups since the level of trust and perception looks high and positive owing to full and corporate participation in decision making (Bass, 1990).

Provision of effective recognition for others’ achievements

Leaders should focus on offering motivational incentives towards every slight improvement of performance amongst members. According to the author, tasks should be specified and members encouraged by rewarding good performances on the side of employees. This assists in prompting people to work towards improving the quality of services they offer, hence help in building the required image. However, members should be left satisfied with the services offered to make them feel that their exemplary work is valued (Bass, 1990).
