Prerecorded voice calls, including those with synthesized voices, mobile phones or residential lines, or automated dialers made using Automatic Telephone Dialing Systems (ATDS), require Prior Express Written Consent (PEWC). According to Communications Commissions and courts, no matter how much of an advertising advantage there may be during an initial call, repeated calls, or even an in-person meeting/transaction, the call is likely to be classified as telemarketing. Customers and clients must sign a written agreement that clearly and visibly reveals a Company’s authority to make telemarketing calls utilizing an automated telephone dialing system, a synthesized or recorded voice, or both, to a specific telephone number. It is also important to advise the person that they are not forced to sign the agreement as a requirement of acquiring any property or other products or services and are free to reject the agreement.

It is imperative that, when requesting the consent of a data subject as part of a written declaration that covers other topics, the consent request must be provided in a way that is immediately distinguished from those other topics, and in a simple format to understand (Allison, 2020). According to Allison (2020), if any element of the statement infringes on the terms of this regulation, the declaration will be invalidated. At any moment, the data subject may revoke his or her consent. The data subject must be notified of this before providing their permission. Withdrawal of consent should be as simple as giving it. There should be no conditions on the performance of a contract or provision of a service requiring consent to handle personal data that are not necessary to that performance; this includes assessing whether or not consent is freely granted (Allison, 2020). As a manager to a team of cross-functional managers, I will require a variety of information to obtain approval from new and existing customers/clients to be reached via an automatic dialer on their mobile phones and to call, utilize the company’s website, and send an email with their requests. Additionally, I will require additional resources to handle the issue and tools to track performance and dependencies.

To begin with, I would require a list of current and potential clients or customers, as well as their past data of consent and email requests they have previously issued. For strategic planning purposes, I may use this data to see what historical trends have been in the consent acquired from clients or consumers. I would also need a team of database administration, data capture, encoding and decoding software, and an information system for disseminating information about my clients’ activities. These resources can be put to good use in developing methods for gaining the approval of clients or customers on a larger scale. To make strategic decisions for the organization, I will require management information system software to collect and analyze data. Finally, tracking progress and dependencies will be critical to the success of my task. I will use a Gantt chart to track the project’s progress and interdependencies (Brčić & Mlinarić, 2018). A Gantt chart is a bar graph that visually depicts a project’s timeline. Horizontal and vertical task lists on a grant chart show how the project is broken down and connected to each activity. It is possible to use a Gantt chart to plan a project and show progress and milestones as well as dependencies as a project management tool.
