An integrated approach to using different styles of leadership can be both positive and negative. Rotech positions itself as a team of professionals whose primary goal is excellence in the narrow field of clinical care (Rotech, 2021). If Timothy Pigg and Mike Dobbs are committed to Rotech’s core mission, transformational and transactional leadership can lead to highly positive results. While Dobbs will work to inspire executives under his care by creating motivation, maintaining reputational performance, and creating career opportunities for nurses by example, Pigg will track employee performance more precisely, working with each detail of an extensive system separately.

At the same time, these approaches to leadership can become the reason for the creation of good systems approaches. It was pointed out that both Pigg and Dobbs promote the development of an organizational ethic of mutual respect and other moral principles that can lead to improved operational performance. Pigg’s competence lies in managing the whole system, while Dobbs is more familiar with the control systems responsible for the quality-of-service standards. Based on a value approach, the CEO creates an understanding of the company’s mission and vision, which increases the involvement of employees in the central business processes. According to research, engagement contributes to employee satisfaction and well-being in the workplace (De Los Santos & Labrague, 2021). With Dobbs’ professionalism in transactional leadership, being involved in the work process will give employees a predisposition to professional growth and, accordingly, improve their efficiency. Conflicts in this area can only arise based on differences in the activities and main goals of the company. Operations with extremely high control systems can demotivate employees, depriving them of their inclination to grow and discrediting the function of the CEO.
