Harley Davidson is one of the leading brands in the world. The company has its origin in the year 1901; the founders of this company were Mr. William S Harley and Mr. Arthur Davidson. They started with designing and developing the engine that could suit the motorbike.

In 1903, they started twin-powered motorcycles; the success of the company was due to the eye-opening performance of the founders.

In 1910, they launched the logo for the product – the bar and the shield – which was trademarked for patent rights. The motor vehicle was tried with different kinds of innovations like the sidecars, which paved the way for the new market, and they also had the publicity for their product in the different magazines like the ‘enthusiast’ picturing about the specific features of the product and the publicity. They started the promotion of the vehicle in bulk quantities by supplying to the military services.

“The FXSTD Softail® Deuce™ is introduced to the immediate delight of riders and the motorcycle media.”

The company had a certain acquisition in the year 1969 by the American company, namely the AMF (American Machine and foundry), which had an enormous effect on sales, ignoring quality factors. This made a little dark mark on the reputation of the company in the 1970s when it was the time for competitors to be on the scene. The Japanese market was the major player to flourish in the US market with the motor vehicle.
