Competitors in this area can identify companies that perform the same or similar functions as the analyzed IT company, so Abobe, Microsoft, and Electronic Arts can be considered competitors in this area.
Taking control over an IT company’s capacity requires long-term planning to track and increase it. Prospective planning is vital for stable capacity growth, typically characterized by temporary downturns for reasons beyond the control of the effectiveness of the respective programs. “Long-term strategic plans need to be supported by short-term ones,” the goals of departments, and even the rules and regulations in force in the organization. (Rajani & Heggde, 2020, p. 92) Planning activities focused on increasing productivity becomes the basis for the control over the activities of the organization. The capacity can be managed in the IT-sphere due to the set goals, focus on the result and tracking this result is most important by comparing the figures of past years.
Thus, capacity management principles are a systematic approach to the study of productivity problems and the development of programs to improve efficiency, based on new approaches. Flexibility of labor productivity policy is essential, taking into account the changing situations in the external and internal environment of the enterprise. The measurement, control, and evaluation of the work in all business processes, including personnel management, are necessary to regulate the IT company’s processes.
