The company chosen for the report is Workday Inc., an enterprise providing financial and human resources management software for businesses. According to the company’s website, their primary idea is “to put people at the center of enterprise software” (Workday). The co-founders Aneel Bhusri and Dave Duffield started their project in 2005 and now remain a competitive participant in the field (Workday). Since the company works in the field of HR management software, it is presumed that their performance management system is at a high level of development and bases on advanced technology.

Performance Management Analysis

The goal-oriented organization of the company integrates all of the participants of this process into one complete unit. Performance management is conducted at the level of workforce planning and is driven through the whole working process until the result is achieved. Workday uses a procedure for evaluating candidates’ skills and their applicability to the company’s current needs (Workday). At a planning stage, such an approach predetermines the future progress in employees’ work and their contribution to the ultimate goal that the company has.

Workday Inc. follows its performance management procedures that focus on human potential as a priority. According to its website, the company tends to measure its “success not only in financial terms but also by how we operate in the community and environment” (Workday). The overall direction of the enterprise’s activity is customer orientation, which is a core value for every participant in every project.

A team’s productivity is based on the ability to deliver a high-quality product according to clients’ requirements, needs, and expectations, enabling their enterprise to obtain a tool capable of effective improvements (Workday). Improving the process of managing the business for their clients, Workday leaders utilize the introduced methods inside their company, too.

Excellence in performance is the company’s priority that widens the influence of the enterprise globally. This aim requires a high level of compatibility that can be achieved by a flawless performance of all the employees within the company. Thus, the structure of the units in Workday Inc. unites experienced professionals and new specialists who control each other’s work within the team, delivering a mutual result (Workday). Such a structural approach enables leaders to control and manage all the working processes, evaluate the performance of each worker, and ultimately motivate him or her to contribute skills and knowledge to the common goal.

In conclusion, Workday Inc. utilizes a variety of methods and tools included in the company’s philosophy, where everybody works as a team divided into separate but interrelated units.
