Accenture is the world’s leading management and consulting organization, providing business and information technology solutions and strategies. The company’s number of employees is 624,000, with the reported revenue for the fiscal year ended August 2021 being $50,533.4 million, a 14% increase compared to the previous fiscal year (MarketLine, 2022). Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, the company offers services within a broad spectrum of industries, ranging from food, beverages, and tobacco manufacturing enterprises to airlines and hotels to media and entertainment industry groups.

Impact of the Components

Regarding strengths, A geographically and industry-diverse approach helps Accenture alleviates the economic risks of utilizing emerging technological opportunities. Moreover, Accenture’s sustained financial performance with significant year-to-year improvements impacts the high chances of long-term corporate stability (SWOT Analysis). However, Disproportionate dependence on consulting services presents risks for long-term sustainability, as it limits its risk tolerance. Continued strategic acquisitions would allow Accenture to substantially improve its services and capture market growth by integrating specific industry expertise and innovation into its operations. The opportunities would impact the dependency on consulting services and reduce it. Nevertheless, intense competition among providers with comparable services could significantly limit profit margins. Over-reliance on premium customers could lead to strained financial situations during stagnation periods (Alva et al., 2018). This could impact and limit the company’s ability to procure new contracts in the future and undermine existing customer relationships.

Company’s Unique Features

Accenture competes with transnational companies based on multiple factors, including industry expertise, the scope of services, and delivery method. Accenture’s top ten competitors include IBM, Capgemini, Infosys, Atos, Fidelity, Tata Consultancy Services, Unisys, Infosys, Cognizant, and Wipro (Alva et al., 2018; MarketLine, 2022). While the competitors offer services comparable to those Accenture provides, the latter has a unique selling point (USP), which includes a highly customer-driven approach with end-to-end services with assistance at every step of implementation. Moreover, the company provides its services through its global delivery network of 19 market channels, allowing for optimum resource utilization (Alve et al., 2018). Additionally, considering Accenture is currently the world’s largest consultancy firm by revenue, Accenture’s USP may render it a more attractive provider to customers.
