There are numerous ways of peroneal selection to a business structure. Wardell (2013) provides a 3×3 hiring method that guarantees to help recruiting the best candidates. He believes that finding an effective way of recruiting employees ensures productive work of a company in operational and functional ways. The 3×3 method requires conducting at least three interviews in at least three different environments with the involvement of at least three different people. Wardell also argues that looking at a candidate’s past performance is the key to determining his future position and behavior.

Conducting at least three interviews is necessary to have more time with a candidate. This is because more time spending with an individual can show their true strengths and weaknesses, revealing their character. Wardell suggests not being rush at the interview stage and take time with potential employees. By three different environments, the author recommends conducting interviews in formal as well as in informal settings. Such methods can help demonstrate the personality of a candidate, their phone skills, and overall societal behavior. It can be also critical to have a phone interview, demonstrating how a person will act when having a call in an informal setting.

The third aspect of the 3×3 method which is involving at least three people in the interviews suggests choosing three or more people whose judgment of a character has proven to be objective. Having different people provides various perspectives on making decision about personnel selection. Yet, a team leader should control the process by not intimidating a candidate and putting pressure on an individual. Wardell also claims that interviews with team members are mostly informal that illustrate a team and its atmosphere to a candidate.
