Ethics at work and ethical treatment of the employee take quite an essential role in everyday life. Employee and employer both have responsibilities towards each other. The employee should help other employees. The employer must offer a healthy and safe working environment for the employee, as well as any necessary training. The employee-employer relationships are evolving, as well as the concept of commitment and loyalty.

Employees need to be conferred with such benefits as decent salaries, job security among others, and be given fundamental labor rights. Employment at will (EAW) became famous, and employees as well as employers get more freedom of choice even with the absence of law and union help. Employers hire, fire, demote, and promote an employee with specific and reasonable cause. Both parties follow established standards as mentioned in employment manuals and handbooks.

However, any misconduct by the employer would not be part of EAW. It does not cover employee’s security, retaining of the job by employee, safety and risk, Injury, any banning of harmful exposure beyond a limit. Commonly acknowledged that employees feel motivated and get better mileage when they are treated and rewarded well. Again, disputes, conflicts of opinions are inevitable parts of any business. Therefore, employees may lose their job. Ethical treatment can influence employees for further and better creativity and upholding innovation. Employment relationships take a crucial role in gaining the visionary goal of the organization.

Insufficient reward of the employees is the reason of their work discouragement. EAW is an American law that brings freedom for employers and employees and helps them build relationships to fulfill organizational goals. Due to EAW, employees may get fired without reason, as collective bargaining agreements and unions do not protect them. Ethical behaviors and decision-making at employees’ freedom can bring significant benefits akin to reducing labor turnover and increasing productivity, reducing recruitment costs, and retaining better talent for the organization.

Workplace ethics for employees play an essential role in a work commitment, moral responsibilities, loyalty towards the organization, and compassion towards co-workers. It is crucial for bringing intangible values within the organization, taking care about branding, image, name, and fame gaining for the organization as well as business revenue also growing. Further workplace ethics for the employers namely hiring with transparency, equality towards all employees and with no discrimination, and an organization should create a healthy, soothing, and rewarding work environment.
